Score an initiative
Work through the worksheet as a team: describe the initiative, score it across the five dimensions, plan its success metrics, and reflect after the pilot. Everything saves in this browser as you go. The rubric descriptors and band cut-offs are defaults; adapt them to your institution's criteria and governance structure.
1 · Describe
Screen the idea. A short, honest description is enough to start the conversation.
2 · Score
Rate each dimension from 1 (low risk/impact) to 5 (high). Use the descriptors and considerations to anchor discussion, and record your reasoning in the comments.
3 · Plan
Draft success metrics now. A rough draft is fine. Mission outcomes say what the institution gains, project outputs say what the project delivers, and efficacy says whether the AI itself works.
Mission outcomes · OKRs
Project outputs · KPIs
AI performance · Efficacy
How will you know the AI works as intended, accurately and fairly across groups, and that it, not something else, produced the outcome?
Exit criteria & re-review
What would make you pause or stop? When should this initiative be re-scored? See examples.
4 · Track & reflect
Record actuals against the targets you set in Plan, then capture what you learned and decide what happens next.
